The Yoga Union studio is closed for the summer.
We look forward to welcoming you back on September 9.
You’ll find the back-to-school schedule of classes and workshops in the first week of September.
We wish you a wonderful summer.
Namaste.
OUR CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS
CLASSES
Through postural practice (asanas), body and respiratory movement (pranayamas), we develop a mindfulness relationship with our body. This allows us to explore the philosophy of yoga in an integral way. In this way, we can reduce the incidence of stress in our lives and give meaning to our quest for balance.
WORKSHOPS
We offer complementary workshops to the weekly practice with the aim of deepening all aspects inherent in yoga such as physical practice, philosophy, meditation and breathing techniques, as well as the different types of yoga.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Yoga is a guide that allows us to explore throughout our lives the meaning of balance.
The multiple joys and trials, the unforeseen events of life teach us to live between action and inaction – ability to wait, learn to discern – and to evolve …
We began to teach this discipline with the desire to share its beauty with as many people as possible. Our intention is to help our students listen to their inner self and find the courage to step out of their comfort zone.
Founded by Carolina Arenas-Comte in 2019, Yoga Union embodies the quest for the ideal union between body and mind, the desire to go further, to transmit experience and passion in a common practice. It is on the shores of Lake Annecy, between Veyrier-du-Lac and Talloires that we offer our courses. Indoors, but as often as possible outdoors to benefit from the strength and energy that nature provides.
We hope that participants in our classes and retreats experience the same joy we feel in teaching our practice. Yoga Union offers its knowledge and experience to all those who wish to rise, regardless of their level.
OUR GUIDE
Carolina Arenas-Comte
Passionate about yoga and an assiduous practitioner since the early 2000s, Carolina has been teaching the discipline since 2016. Beyond the technique, the benefits and the tranquility that the practice provides, exchange and communion are a permanent source of inspiration for her. This desire to share led her to found Yoga Union in 2019.
When she practices, Carolina wants to pass on her experience, to infuse the serenity that practice brings her on a daily basis. For her, the discipline and philosophy of yoga subtly combine to profoundly transform our lives, guiding us towards personal fulfillment.
« I still progress every day thanks to teaching. By accompanying my students, I can see how our integral well-being is based on the union of body and mind. »

OUR PRACTISES
Dynamic practice more or less physically demanding, by which we seek to synchronize breathing and movement.
Dynamic practice, more danceable with repetition of sequences synchronized to the breath.
Practice during which we try to maintain the postures for a long time, with less fluidity of movement.
Practice without muscular commitment, exercised with eyes closed. Held for a long time, the postures tend to modify the fascias and find the physical and mental lull. Meridian work inspired by Chinese medicine.
Close to Yin but practiced with more accessories to find balance and restore the body for therapeutic purposes.
Repetition of exercises aimed at working the specific muscles necessary for the success of « demanding » postures.
